About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Design and Development: Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using various database technologies.
- Collaboration: Work with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into Data Products
- Performance Optimization: Optimize Data models and Data consumption models for performance and scalability.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data models are accurate, consistent, and meet quality standards.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of data models, including data dictionaries and metadata.
- Compliance: Ensure data models comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Data Strategy: Develop and implement data modeling strategies that align with business objectives.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest data modeling tools and technologies, and implement best practices.
- Data Governance: Develops and enforces data modeling governance policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with data regulations and standards.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders on data modeling concepts and tools.
- Evaluation: Continuously evaluate and improve data modeling processes and methodologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure data models meet their needs.
- Oversight: Oversees the development and lifecycle of data products. Ensures products meet user needs and business goals
- Security: Protects data from unauthorized access and breaches. Implements security measures and monitors for threats.
Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in data modeling and allied data areas, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin), SQL, and big data - database management systems. Understanding of Big Data Platforms landscape. Basic Data Engineering skills is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Experience in managing data modeling projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data modeling and documentation.
Languages :
- English.
